Technical Support Agent


We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Level 1 Technician. This position is primarily focused on supporting individual computer users. Work is performed from our office and at our clients’ locations (approximately 50% on-site). Common tasks include software troubleshooting and repair, hardware troubleshooting and repair, basic networking, virus removals, etc. Opportunities exist for higher level work, including server administration, MS Exchange, active directory, remote monitoring and management tools, and more.

  • Ability to systematically identify and resolve technical issues
  • Enthusiasm for technology and helping people
  • Associate’s degree and IT field experience
  • A+ certification or equivalent experience is required
  • Microsoft MSP, MCSE, MCNA, CCNA and other certifications a plus
  • This position requires knowledge of IT operations, hardware, software, networks and procedures to resolve most inquiries independently
  • Experience working with MSP tools (Connectwise, Kaseya, etc.) a plus
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to local clients


  • Interprets, evaluates, and resolves telephone and email inquiries pertaining to the functional operation of all installed applications, hardware, and software products as needed from our clients
  • Opens, assigns and tracks status of service requests and escalates when needed to ensure client satisfaction
  • Enters detailed time and notes on service tickets throughout the work process
  • Assist on projects such as new networks, workstations, and new servers
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested
  • Assists with after-hours tickets as requested or required by the client
  • Reports problems with procedures and makes suggestions for improvement
  • Receives general supervision and is competent to work independently for most help desk activities
  • Identifies and recommends solutions to fit client needs
  • Is able to work in a team and independently


  • Strong experience with Windows XP, Win 7, Win 8, MS Office 2010, Apple OS X, and other related technologies
  • Knowledge of Windows Server platform 2012 / 2008 R2
  • A+ Certification or equivalent hardware experience
  • Networking skills including: DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Wireless, encryption protocols
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and other common server technologies
  • Data recovery experience a plus
  • Web design experience a plus
